About Mike Wood, Lighting Designer & Director

Mike Wood is a lighting designer, director, and programmer for live events. While the bulk of his work has been in the theatrical world, he has experience in nearly all areas of live production and is always seeking out new and challenging opportunities to work with collaborators.

An accomplished educator, Mike is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Theatre department at Kennesaw State University, and has served on the faculties of Marymount Manhattan College, The Collegiate School, Hillsborough Community College, and Howard W. Blake School of the Arts.

He holds a BA in Theatre Design from the University of South Florida and an MFA in Theatre Design & Technology from the University of Memphis, both with concentrations in Lighting Design. Mike has been a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local 829, since 2014.
