About the Show
The story revolves around the Younger family, who reside in a cramped Chicago apartment. When they receive a significant insurance check following the death of the father, the family grapples with how to use the money to improve their lives. Lorraine Hansberry's classic is transformed into a soulful, inspiring musical as a proud Black family's quest for a better life explodes in song, dance and incisive human drama.
