The Buffalo Kings

freeFall Theatre freeFall Studio Theatre St. Petersburg, FL

Lighting design for the 2015 production of The Buffalo Kings at freeFall Theatre, directed by Eric Davis.

About the Lighting Design

The Buffalo Kings was a world premiere of a new play by Natalie Simons at freeFall. A realistic house interior, grounded in naturalism throughout.

The rig was significant for freeFall: this was one of the first shows after the company replaced its older inventory with newer Source Fours. The design got to take advantage of a cleaner, more reliable conventional package. Practical sources inside the house, window light shifting through the day, time-of-day and season cues doing most of the storytelling work.
