About the Show
A singing-and-dancing extravaganza featuring over 42 songs by George and Ira Gershwin, woven into five mini-musicals on stories of young love. The settings progress through eras: 1920s New York, Paris in the 1930s, Hollywood in the '40s, New Orleans in the 1950s, and the present day. Conceived, written, and directed by Ray Roderick for the Gershwin Estate; licensed through MTI. (MTI hosts the rights but does not publish a public-facing show page; description sourced from MusicalFare Theatre's production listing.)

We booked 2 seats for 'S Wonderful (a show incorporating the songs of the Gershwin brothers, extending over many decades; kinda like 'Mamma Mia,' where songs are made to fit a new plot). The seating was cabaret style, even though no food was served. The singing and dancing of the five actors was truly excellent. The pianist was outstanding, too. We really enjoyed ourselves.
