About the Show
In the Roaring '20s, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap. When Amos finds out he's been duped, Roxie ends up in jail with Velma Kelly, a vaudevillian who killed her philandering husband. The two compete for headlines and for the attentions of slick lawyer Billy Flynn in this satire of crime, corruption, and celebrity culture, set to a smoky Kander and Ebb score.
