American Pie
Florida Studio Theatre Sarasota, FL
Lighting design for the 2015 production of American Pie at Florida Studio Theatre, directed by Russ Treyz.
About the Lighting Design
American Pie was a 1960s music revue on a small cabaret stage. The rig was all incandescent. The design’s job was to serve both the music and the cabaret dining atmosphere around it. Bold, energetic period color for the songs. Warm visibility for the room when needed.

About the Show
Florida Studio Theatre's cabaret revue exploring the American musical response to the British Invasion of 1964. When the Beatles arrived in America, a second American revolution occurred, with American songwriters rising to prominence across the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. The show celebrates the era through works by Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Carole King, Billy Joel, and others, with classics including "Cecilia," "Sweet Caroline," "Tambourine Man," and "It's Still Rock N Roll To Me."
